Last weekend my Dad’s longtime gal pal Judi hosted a fantastic party in honor of her son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s upcoming nuptials. Judi threw a proper New England lobster bake along the Royal River in Yarmouth, Maine.
Few scenarios capture Summertime like a classic lobster bake by the water. It rained on and off throughout the evening, but the raw oyster bar, bright yellow sunflowers and beer-filled canoe kept things festive inside the tent.
Tiki torches lit the path to the gorgeous feast cooking atop a wood fire. Dinner included seaweed steamed lobsters, clams, corn on the cob, potatoes, and roasted onions.
It was one of my favorite evenings of the Summer filled with family, new friends, wine and lots of melted better.
