I spent this past week with my family in Maine. I enjoyed lots of quality time with my sister Allyson, my new two-week-old nephew Kellen and his big sister Ryleigh. My primary responsibilities included daily Starbucks runs, some light laundry and pushing Ryleigh on the swings. And despite my deep-seated craftophobia, I even organized a little pumpkin painting project for Ry, who is very obviously an artistic genius.
This gin and apple cider cocktail is perfect for any Halloween-related activity – be it carving jack-o’-lanterns, greeting trick-or-treaters or watching scary movies while waiting for your pumpkin seeds to roast in the oven. This would also be nice to sip with Thanksgiving appetizers.
